We recently celebrated the Sinhala and Tamil New Year 2024, also known as Game Avuruddha 24, at our company premises, Bernard Business Park. The day was filled with traditional ceremonies and joyful activities.
The day began with the lighting of the traditional oil lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the welcoming of light and positivity into our lives. Following this, we gathered for the boiling of the milk pot, a ritual symbolizing prosperity for the year ahead.
After the ceremonies, we enjoyed Avurudu games, providing an opportunity for everyone to unwind and engage in friendly competition. As the day came to a close, we wrapped up our celebrations with dinner, making the Paduru Party the highlight of the evening.
It brought us together to celebrate our culture and traditions in a meaningful way. Here's to a promising new year ahead! Happy Avurudu to all!
