Training division of LK Domain Registry successfully completed 2-day training program on 29th & 30th November 2018 in Vocational Training Centre at Meegahathenna.
The training was conducted for NVQ Level 4 students and the
main focus of the training was to provide a hand on experience in Joomla
Content Management System (CMS), a free and open source software to build
and manage website from the scratch.
Students who have attended the training program were able to
gain a step by step guidance to build a website on their own, followed by set
of interactive sub sessions. Under these sub sessions, topics such as “better
search techniques”, “Internet for education”, etc… was discussed while moving
to an extended discussion on practical scenarios in web hosting. The program
continued with active participation from the students and they were able spend
a productive time in gaining knowledge and understanding how to improve their
skills for a future career path.
With all the positive feed backs given by the students after
completion of the training program, we are proud to be a driving force in
building the next generation of IT community in Sri Lanka and hope to continue
more successful training programs in coming years.
